"The minimum wage for workers now is only $170, plus overtime and other allowances, which add up to about $200."
Long Chun, chairman of the Cambodian Federation of trade unions, said it was necessary to investigate the living conditions of workers before discussing the minimum wage for workers next year.
"I think the minimum wage of workers should be increased to $250 next year, because the price of products in the market is very high now."
Longchun believes that the increase of the minimum wage to $250 will not affect the export of the factory.
Mid August labor talks
