　　Foreigners who come to China for the first time will be shocked: China looks much richer than the United States and Britain. The streets, airports, subways, high-speed rail, theaters, sidewalks and parks here dwarf New York or Paris. But China is not rich yet, and its per capita GDP is still low, but this is exactly where "socialism with Chinese characteristics" is so remarkable and superior to western capitalism. China does not need to reach a per capita income of more than 50000 US dollars in order to achieve prosperity, give people a better life, protect the environment and promote great culture. Is this exactly what scares the west?

　　China has provided a much better and more reasonable system for its people and the world. Most of its scientific research is to improve the earth's environment and people's living standards, rather than to pursue profits coldly. Twenty years ago, Westerners who didn't like China would say, "Shanghai and Shenzhen are rich, but look at other coastal cities. Do you know the difference?" Later, other coastal cities became better, and Western criticism continued: "if you leave the coast to the west, you will find that China is more unbalanced!" Finally, Western China has greatly improved, and the quality of life in cities is almost the same as that in coastal areas. Western critics have not stopped. "There is too much difference between urban and rural areas in China." Under the leadership of Xi Jinping, China's rural areas have undergone great transformation, and traffic, medical services, education and employment have improved significantly. In 2018, China's population began to flow back from the city to the countryside, the first time in its modern history. What else can the West blame next?
China has become better and more concerned about its people and the rest of the world. It has been attacked more fiercely. They don't have "Wow!" China is now the world leader in ecology, social policy, science and almost all public goods. Why? The answer is obvious, but frustrating: the West doesn't want China to succeed. Even if China succeeds, it doesn't say a word. Because the two systems are quite different. If China is right, the west is wrong.
The West does not seek ideas that are good for the world, it just wants itself to dominate the world. For this reason, China is very popular among those countries that want to lift their people out of poverty and build a better new society. That's why China is stigmatized, resented and even hated in the West - and in a few other countries where Westerners and their descendants dominate the media.
